Missing her

Last weekend was rough.

I was missing Maddie, poor Jackson was not happy, and we were both crying. I wrote three blogs and erased them all.

I am not sure if its because Jackson's birthday is approaching but lately I have been missing Maddie so much. I feel so many emotions hit me all at once. I'm so happy for Jackson's birthday but so sad that I will never get to celebrate a happy birthday for Maddie.

Sunday I was having a very hard time. I had to run to Micheal's to grab some party supplies. I turned around and saw this..

It literally took my breath away.

I quickly texted it to James. He reminded me that she is always there when we need her the most.I needed that. Thanks Maddie!

I love you Maddiegirl. I miss you SO SO much!!!

Crash!

Jackson had his first real injury this week.

We were at PT and he fell on a toy. It was no ones fault. His therapist felt so bad. Frankly, hes a boy its going to happen! This is just the first of many more to come.

There is a little cut by his eye. It did bleed and swell up. They wanted me to take him to the ER. I really didn't think it was that bad. I guess they were just trying to cover their basis. His appointments are at a hospital so one of the ER doctors came down and looked at him. He was fine!

Poor guy! He didn't even cry very long.

 

Had to give in that day and give him a bottle!

On a good note: Jackson is getting stronger every week. He can pull up to his knees on his own. We work on standing daily and he is able to stand (supported) a lot longer then he has been. PT is working! I've had a few e-mails asking what we do in PT and how to help. I intend to post a blog about it all soon! 

Bluebonnets

We had an amazing weekend. We drove out into the country and took Jackson's pictures in the bluebonnets.

He did great in his rocking chair. When we put him on the ground he was mad! He does not like the feeling of grass!

We  had such an amazing day! I will remember this day forever!

This week...

This week I found out our house is not baby proofed!

Jackson has really taken off with his crawling! He crawls everywhere.

Most of this week I followed Jackson around watching where he was crawling and what he was getting into. I took tons of notes.

So, last night James and I baby proofed! I know there are things we forgot and Jackson will show those to us.

But, WOW I'm kinda glad my sweet Mr. Hope decided to wait until now to really get moving.

This. is. exhausting!

His favorite thing to get into....the dog's water bowl. Oh yes, water everywhere! Poor Bella, her water bowl is now put up high!

Guess what else??

Jackson will be one in 19 days!!!!!!!!

Just becuase....

Just because its Saturday, beautiful and my son is so handsome!

Jackson and I went into  the weed jungle backyard and took some pictures.

(Yes, I do realize he needs some hair gel. But, he need a haircut....BAD!!! There is no way I could spike that hair. Hair cut to come soon. EKKKK!)

Oh I love him and his chunky legs!!!!

Wow!

Jackson is amazing guys.... seriously....amazing!

He is doing so much more in just 2 shorts days!

Yesterday he pulled up to his knees. This doesn't sound like much, but for him it's huge!!!!  He did it yesterday 4 times!!! AMAZING!

He is now crawling on hands and knees, and pulling up.

Simply. Amazing!!

I just had to share. All this hard work is really showing!!

11 months

Your sticker says 11 months but you are hiding it!

Jackson,
  I can NOT even believe it's just 1 short month until your first birthday. It feels like yesterday you were just a tiny little baby. I am so lucky to have spent every day with you! I have seen every milestone and documented them all.

Most of your party details are complete. I am about to sent out your invitations. EKKK! I can't wait! It's going to be a grand celebration of you!!!

You have grown up so much this month!
-You wear size 5 diapers (daytime and night time)
-Are wearing 12-18 month clothes
- You weigh around 23 pounds
- You drink 3-4 bottles a day. You love bottles. We are trying to put your formula into your sippy to make the transition into regular milk easier. (No regular milk in bottles. I'm determined!)
-You are eating real food like a pro. There are not many things you do not like. So far bananas are the only thing. Daddy was kinda bummed about that he love bananas. I let you feed yourself then give you some baby food. You still love it!
-Your hair is SO long! We are going to get it trimmed before your birthday!
- I took your birthday pictures last weekend. I can no wait to share them!
-I tried to give you one of those snack bowls the other day and you just wanted to chew on the bowl. Silly boy!
-You said Mama yesterday clear as day looking right at me. It melted my heart! You are babbling away. You have said Mama and Dada. You do understand "no, no" and you do not like it!
-You started crawling on your hands and knees two days ago. You are still trying to figure it out tho. Sometimes you hop on your back legs, its so cute! I think you are part bunny. If you see something you want you will get to it somehow either army crawling or hop crawling! You are getting so much stronger buddy! I am so proud of you. You are trying to pull you. You want to SO bad but your legs need some more strength in them. We are working them out everyday!!!You are not anywhere close to walking and I'm perfectly ok with that!!
- Now that you are crawling you have been getting into everything! You LOVE to find shoes and chew on them. You love doors, door stoppers, remotes, cell phones...you know pretty much anything you are not supposed to have.
-Everything goes into your mouth.
-You are sleeping great! You get SO tired around 6 but by 7 you are ready for bed! You usually are passed by 7:30-8:00. You wake up around 7 am and are ready to play, but you don't make it very long. By 9-10 you are ready for a nap! You still only power nap 20-30 minutes and you are up! Sometimes you will take an afternoon nap around 2-3 but not everyday!
-You love kids! You love to watch them play. You squeal in excitement.
-Your new favorite game is football with daddy. He will toss you the football and you will "toss" it back. You get so excited about it you squeal! It's so cute!!
-You love being outside. It's been pretty the past few days so I leave the backdoor open while you play in the living room. You never try to crawl outside. You just sit and watch the wind blow. It's so cute!
-You are a mamma's boy! You love to be with me. I love it!
- You get so excited when daddy comes home. I am trying to teach you what daddy's truck looks like. 


You amaze me everyday that you are here and ours. I love you so much sweet boy!

Update on Jackson

Jackson is getting stronger every day.

I can tell him arms are getting stronger by the day. Just this week he started getting on all 4's and rocking. He can now hold himself up with him arms. This is major for Jackson! He is also trying to crawl on all 4's. Right now he is only army crawling but he sure is fast for the things he really wants. He loves all the things he is not supposed to have: remotes, phones, door stoppers.

As for his legs, I feel like the are about the same. He can stand, but for only a few seconds. We are going to see orthopedics next week. He may have to get leg braces. We are just not sure yet.

As for right now we are just going to keep praying and enjoy a not so mobile Jackson.

Jackson's First Easter

We had a great weekend! It was so nice to have James home and to just hang out!

I love our little family. We made so many memories this weekend. I do not have pictures of it all but we:
-Went shopping (my mom, James and I) and bought a new bed spread..finally we have an adult looking room!!! Jackson was so good! He loves riding in the stroller!
-James and I went on a date to the movie! We saw Olympus has fallen-great movie!!
-Went out to eat with my grandparents and mom. We managed to still eat healthy (not so fun).
-I made the carrot cake recipe I posted about. It was SO yummy! I also left it with my mom to take to work so I wouldn't eat it!
-Jackson really started crawling everywhere now! He's into everything! :)
-We played pee-a-boo (a lot).
-Jackson and I cracked confetti eggs on daddy.
-I took pictures of Jackson in his suit!!! It barely fit him. I'm glad we decided to do it!
-Had a Jackson tickle party...more then once
-Played a lot
-The boys took a lot of naps
-Gave lots and lots of kisses
-Spent precious time with family
-Ate way to much!!!
-Spent a lot of time on the elliptical (so I could eat way to much)
