Maddie's 2nd Birthday

We had a grand celebration for Maddie's Birthday. I combined her birthday and Jackson's 5 month birthday into one BIG celebration of my little miracles.

I ordered a ladybug cake and it turned out PERFECT!!

It was raining on and off that day so in a stretch of no rain we released ladybugs. There were TONS of them!!!

 

We all chatted and had a yummy lunch.  It was a wonderful day celebrating my loves. It was hard as I expected but easier then last year.

Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

I wish you were here running around in your pink tu-tu and tiara. I wish you were all jazzed up on sugar and not wanting to go to bed. I wish you had a million new bows and wanted to wear them all. I wish I could hug, kiss you and sing happy birthday to you. I wish you were here!!

I missed you so much today. I hate doing this without you, but I know you were here. Not physically here, but you were here.Thank you for flying next to me today. You knew mommy needed you and you were right there.

I hope you saw all the ladybugs we sent you today. It was amazing seeing them all flying away.

Maddie's Birthday in pictures..

My mom and I took off of work. We both knew it was going to be a hard day. Looking back now it was the best decision to make!

We started the day off with a yummy bagel from Panera. Then we went to take Maddie her special birthday cake, flowers and balloons to her "spot".

It was very hot day and SO very sunny. We placed all her goodies, wiped our tears and I took some photos. It hasn't rained much since Maddie left us. Last weekend it poured and her headstone was all dirty . I am not sure yet how to keep it clean and pretty. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I wiped it off as good as I could but its still very dirty. We stood there for a while crying and wishing we didn't have to be there. Mom and I told Maddie we loved her and wished her a happy birthday and we left. I still hate leaving the cemetery. I feel like I'm leaving her there.


Mom and I went to pick up 50 balloons for our birthday girl. I am sure Maddie was laughing at us as we were tying to squeeze all these balloons in 1 car! Needless to day the car was FULL!!!

Later that night family and friends came over to celebrate Maddie's life. I must say there was a lot of tears.


We walked to the park. James told everyone thank you for all their support then through many many many tears we sang our sweet Maddie Happy Birthday and we let her balloons go.





Then we released her lady bugs...



It was a hard day. A day that we should not of had without her, but we did the best we could. We smiled because she chose us to be her parents. We spend the best 4 months of our life with her. Maddie will always be a part of our family!!!

Thank you for all your kinda words, and birthday wishes for our Princess. You made that day brighter.

Happy 1st Birthday Princess!

One year ago today my life changed forever. I gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl.

Maddie, you were only here with us for such a short time, but you have made the whole world smile!

You are my everything and will ALWAYS be a part of our family!

Thanks for showing me how to be a great mom!

I was sent this poem and of course it made me cry..but then it made me smile.


It's my first birthday in heaven,
what a joy to partake.
My presents are flowers and rainbows
and angel food cake.

My crib is decorated with roses
and glitter.
And the stars that shine upon me
make everything shimmer.

The other angels are dancing and
singing me songs.
Soon Jesus will be joining me,
It won't be long.

We'll all gather and pray
for my loved ones on earth,
Who love me so much,
from the day of my birth.

In honor of Maddie and her first birthday in heaven we are asking everyone to wear pink today and to put a bow in your daughter’s hair. I know Maddie will be able to see the all the pink balloons and shirts from up in heaven. Thanks!!

James Birthday.

My dear husband turned 28 last weekend. We had a great time with family, and friends. I cooked homemade enchiladas and we just relaxed. I was going to make James a cake, but I wanted to surprise him with a fondant cake. He LOVES fondant but, most people don't. Its also very expensive. Well, I went to a bakery in front of the school where I work and order a 6 inch fondant cake. I told the lady I wanted blue fondant with black squares and I wanted the number 28 out of gum paste on the top with Happy Birthday James. Well when I went to pick it up this is what I got?!?!?!
UMMMMM. That cake doesn't have anything I asked for on it. The number are made out of wood. The owner told me the girls that work for her forgot to make the numbers, ummmm excuse me .. REALLY???? Yes, so I didn't like how the cake turned out but it was VERY yummy!

I made a really cute banner for his birthday one day while we were off for Christmas break. I think it turned out REALLY cute!!

Some ladies at work were talking about the Twilight series. So, I decided last weekend I wanted to start reading it.

So, I read this whole book last weekend and some of yesterday. The book was alot better then I thought. I dont really like fantasy stuff, or Si-Fi. But this is really a love story. I watched the movie this morning and it was REALLY cheesy and not very good. The book was WAY better.

James is working today so i guess I am going to start the 2nd book
