Update

It's been a long time.....with all the back to school excitement I haven't had a free second to write on the blog.

I forgot how tiring this time of year is. I don't know how, but I did. I think being a teacher with a child at your school  (especially a toddler) is even more tiring! :) I love it tho. It's SO refreshing to know he is there in the same building with me!

Oh, and I forgot to mention school has not even started yet.

Everything is going great..Jackson is getting stronger and stronger. He is not walking but we are still working hard to help him get there. I think it'll be another few months. He does well with his short braces but he still hates the long ones.  He will walk holding our hands now which is a great improvement. He is also crawling normal most of the time. He was hop crawling and we have been trying to correct that since he started but not it's slowly stopping!!

I am {still} very nervous for Jackson to be school with all the germs. I know this is what is best for him. He needs the social interactions with other kids, but I'm still worried.

My birthday is this weekend (it's the BIG one..). I am so excited to spend it with my family. We are just going to hang out and have fun!

I promise I will try and blog as much as I can!!

We are all better!!!

I'm happy to say we are finally all feeling better!!

Jackson and I have been up at school working (and playing). He has been so good and I think he is going to do GREAT in Mother's Day out.

Have you seen a cuter Jack-in-the-box???

I'm SO nervous Jackson is going to be sick all the time. Any ideas on how to keep him healthy? I know it's going to happen. I know he will be sick, but I'm hoping he wont be sick all the time.
He has been at home with me for 15 months and now he will be in a classroom of germs kids.

So, needless to say I'm down for the count.

Sorry I haven't been posting. I have been so busy and now I am sick.

After this sick funk is gone its back to posting..promise!

15 months

Jackson,
You are 15 months old today. I feel like you are not a baby anymore. You are growing up to fast little love.
This month your little brain is soaking up so many new things.
Here is what you are up to:
-You weigh 25 pounds 15.5 ounces
-You are 31.5 inches tall
-Wear size 18-24 month clothes
-Wear size 5 diapers
-Got your braces this month. You are ok with the short braces,  but you hate the long ones!
-You have started to walk behind your walker and boy you are fast with it now. You do get mad when you run into the wall. You haven't figured out how to turn around yet.
-Oh you are such a boy. A few days ago you learned how to make your self burp. You think its is soooo funny. I think its gross!
- You love to show off to new people. You are going to have a blast at MDO showing off all your tricks.
- You LOVE kids. You are learning to share. Hopefully at MDO you are a nice boy.
-You are such a sweetie. You love to be held and give mommy hugs.
-Mimi is the only one who can rock you to sleep. I have rocked you to sleep maybe once this month but you do not love it.
- You are starting to nap better. You are still not on a napping schedule. Some days you are exhausted others you are not having nap at all!
-You go down for bed SO much better. We rarely have crying anymore (nap time is a different story). You go to bed at 8 and you sleep till 7-7:30am.
-Your feet are still very small. You wear a size 3 shoes. The PT thinks your feet are so small from not standing on them for so long. Thats ok I know they will grow!
- You are getting so tall. I am not sure of your height yet, but everyone thinks you are 2 years old!
- You are still a great eater. You will eat mostly anything but you prefer: strawberries, grapes, yogurt, milk, cheese, and crunchy stuff. Meat is not your favorite thing but you will eat it.
-We are still going to PT once a week. Most weeks you do great very rarely you have a bad day. We always go and visit sissy spot after PT. Some times you are asleep and we just wave and talk to her from the car.
-All of the sudden you are not liking your car seat. I think its because mommy got a new car and its not as bumpy. You prefer the bumps, mommy does not!
-You had so many fun days staying with Mimi this summer. I know she loved it! She bought you a little blow up pool and put tons of balls in it. You LOVE it!!
- You love balls, cars, trains, Ish (bella), Mommy, Daddy, remotes, walking your dog (your walker) and playing.
-You are saying many many words now: mama, dada, ball, ish, dog, down, cheese, book (uk), hi, no, all done, uh oh, stop, shoes
-You can also make Bella sing. It is so cute!!

You are such a sweet boy. Mommy loves you so much!!

XOXO,
Mommy

Braces, Bows and Back to school

Sorry I haven't been blogging much. We have been SO busy!

Jackson is doing great in his small braces, but hes having a hard time when it comes to his long braces. I feel like I need to learn more about them. We have not gone to PT with them yet. After we do and I get a better idea of what I'm doing I think he and I will do better with them.

I opened my bow shop up to custom orders. Its been so fun! I LOVE making bows!!!!
Here is the link to my shop...Maddies Mom Made That

We are also getting ready to start school. It's something I am used to...decorating my room, making new posters, getting mentally prepared. But, I've never done this with a child. It's defiantly....different!

Needless to say I am exhausted. I promise I will post pictures of Jackson walking in his braces...PROMISE!!!
