New Years EVE..Happy Birthday Brad.

Today is my brothers 29th birthday. I know he wont read this but, I wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday anyways.

Changes

As you can see there has been some changes made to my blog. I added a caption to our blog title and I added a ticker. James and I started going to the gym this morning. I am determined to loose some weight, or tone up! I am not saying I'm fat. I would just like to look better, who wouldn't. Remember not to long ago when J and I tried this? He lost like 10 pounds and me... NADA! Why is it that men can loose weight SO FAST? He deserves it tho. He work VERY hard. But, I hope you see that ticker, ticking away pretty soon! Wish me luck...and will power!

One year ago today..

One year ago today my best friend asked me to Marry him. I cant not believe it has been a year. It was such a fun and amazing day. I will never forget it. You can read about it here.

Our Christmas Tree

I wanted to shoot some pictures of our Christmas tree before we handed out all the gifts..I think it turned out well. I am kinda crazy about the stuff that went on it and under it, ill admit that. (Yes, all the ornaments must be red, green or white. Yes, you may only wrap with the red and white paper that I started wrapping with. Yes, if you use a gift bag it must be red, or white. I know I know..) But, the end result is awesome!

I asked her what colors she liked and she said just run with it. So, I ran. At first I was going to paint a picture frame, but I got to thinking.... "What kinda picture frames do I like for my wedding pictures...". I like simple, and personalized. So, I ran with it. It was easy and didnt take long. I think it turned out cute. I am excited. Cleaning / Redecorating my office!

Our office is so tiny, I wish it were bigger. I told my dear hubby I wanted to convert our formal living room (which we never go in) into an office! I am hoping after Income taxes we can make it happen. Today I got a wild hair and cleaned the office and finally put up a bulletin board I have had FOREVER! It has our engagement pictures on it and our initials! I turned out cute. Also, I am still playing with my new/old camera! I love taking pictures, but I am still not to good at it!




I do not like taking pictures straight on if you have noticed. They are usually at some sort of an angle!

NO NO! Don't get to thinking I am pregnant or anything! A girl at work found out she was having a BOY... so I made her a picture frame and 4 cute ornaments! I think they turned out pretty darn cute.

Hopefully one day I can make a post titled "I am pregnant", but not now. Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Decorations!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Today I was playing with my camera and I took some picture of our Christmas decorations. I must say James and I did a good job this year. I am so proud of us.










I worked hard on the tree this year. I bought all new ornaments. Last year we had blue, purple, and teal ornaments. I wanted to go back to the traditional colors, red and green. After many Hobby Lobby trips, and Garden Ridge trips. I bought enough red and green ornaments to last me a life time. I also tied ribbon on about 30 ornaments to give them another look.

My Hubby even let me put feather on it! At first he didn't think they looked to cute but it ended up awesome! Im going to take more picture later.

I forgot!

I forgot to post the cute turkeys I bought at the craft show. These turkey parts fit into a pumpkin and they are adorable. But here is the problem.... I cant find an orange pumpkin anymore.. So, I bought a white pumpkin at HEB for 28cents.. lol.. I kinda like the white pumpkin better.





He also has a stand he sits in that has feet but I couldn't find a white pumpkin big enough to put it in. Oh well there is always next year!

Christmas cards..

Today I woke up EXTRA early for some strange reason. James was already up, so I guess thats why I got up. James and I went to the gym and let me tell ya I wasnt really feeling it today. After I got on the elliptical for a few minutes I was feeling pretty good! Then I got on the treadmill and ran or about 5 minutes, then walked and ran for about 5 more. I can only imagine how I look running. I keep thinking people are laughing at me. HA .. That's the most I have really ran in ummm I cant tell you how long. I am VERY proud of how James and I have been so strict and really working out like we said. He is loosing weight, me not so much. Why is it so easy for men to shed weight? Well I hope it starts to come off soon.

Today, I also ordered our Christmas cards. I wanted to make us a picture Christmas card because it was our first Christmas as a married couple! I am soooo excited how they turned out. I'm ready to see them in real life..

Sick..

Yesterday I was sick, so I was unable to work out. Luckily I did not gain my 1 pound back that I had lost. Hopefully I will survive a Friday at school and be able to work out this afternoon. Only 4 pounds to go! Happy Friday to all!

Day 3.. of working out that is!

James and I have been working out again. Well I say "working out". I have been doing cardio. I can not lift anything heavy beacuse of where my stitches are in my back. This is day 3 and I'm so sore and exhausted. I can do this, oh yes I can!

I'm here...

I have been super busy with work and trying to keep my sanity. Only 7 more school day until Thanksgiving break. I can NOT wait for this break. My kids this year and VERY good but I haven't missed a day yet. I just need a break. This weekend Josh (James best friend) came into town, so my mom, Lauren and I went to the Nut Cracker Market! It was a blast, but it was SO crowded. I do not do to well with places that are SUPER crowded, so I survived! Today I went and got my hair cut. I also wanted to buy some Christmas gifts, but that really didn't happen. I bought me a new bra, 3 new shirts, and a pair of warm up pants. Ha Ha.. Silly me.

Early Chrustmas!

I got this today in the mail...




I am sooo excitied. The Pioneer Woman has the BEST recipes EVER. I have never cooked anything from her and didnt like it. I am soooooo excited I cant wait to cook something new!!

Recipe

Tonight I didn't feel like stuffing chicken breast, so I ran to my pantry and started pulling out stuff and threw it into a pan and it turned out AMAZING!

I'm going to name it Fiesta Chicken
1 package of chicken
1 can green chilies
2 cups Paper Jack Cheese (I'm guessing I didnt measure I just put some in the pan)
1 can heart healthy Cream of Chicken Soup
1 bag of family size brown rice
1 1.2 tbs garlic powder (guessing again)
Salt and Pepper

Cook the chicken (at this time start cooking your rice). I usually cook my chicken in the oven with salt and pepper. Take the chicken out and cut it into pieces. Combine cut up chicken, rice, cheese, cream of chicken, can of green chilies, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a baking dish. Mix it all together. Bake on 375 for 20 minutes

This dish was GREAT and SUPER easy. Its kinda spicy FYI

Decorations, stitches, and outfits!

Today is Saturday and I was sooooo glad James and I didnt have to work today!... BUT... I had to go to the doctor today :(... Yes, on a Saturday. I went to the dermatologist in back in August. I had a funky looking mole that I have had for many years now. I have known that I needed to go get it looked at but I was scared. My mom and my grandmother have both had skin cancer, so I HAD TO GO! Well back in August they "scopped" the mole out. I say scooped haha.... it was more like cut the mole out and it HURT!!! Wellthe mole came back as "Atypical" and I had to go back today so they could take more out (this time they used a scalpel...EKKKKK) .. I actually have 2 spots one of my chest and one of my back. Today they just did the one on my chest.. I have not looked at it yet, I'm to scared but I know it has stitches and I’m not sure how many.. So today was a fun day of getting stitches. After getting cut on James took me out to eat at a really good Italian restaurant in the Heights.. it was SO yummy!!! Today we have really just been hanging out relaxing and its SO nice!

We also ran to Wal-Mart to get me a new dessert carrier.. I am going to make an icecream cake to take to my Grandparents house tomorrow. James and I also bought Bella this CUTE new Cheerleader out fit... YES.. Its also her Halloween outfit!

Weekend

Last weekend James and I went on a date to the movies.. We got all dressed up and we were really looking sharp! ( Look our mantel is decorated :)

Yesterday we went to Brad and Amy's wedding...I ALWAYS have to make something to bring them..I cant just buy whats on the registry.. So I made them this cork board..

I LOVE IT.. Dow is their new last name.. It think it's super cute.. They can hang pictures from the wedding on there of just leave it like that.. I wish our last name would fit on there.. I think I may make one with our initials on it!

Blogging Slacker..

I have REALLY been slacking on Blogging lately.. I have been reading blogs, but I just haven't felt like posting.. So here is a few months updates with lots of pictures..

James and I went to the Nickleback concert in September I think.. They aren't really my type of music but, we had a blast..
The weather that weekend was rainy and muggy so I put my hat on.. :) Look at all the people!!

September 19th We had Laurens Bachlorette party.. or as all the guys said that night "Your last night of freedom." We went to midtown and went out. It was fun.. but.. I feel like I cant hang any more.. I must be getting old!
Guess who was at the bar? KRAIMER! lol Not really but he really looked like a young Kraimer..He even had the SAME hair! Weird huh? See ...... LOL



Lauren and Michael got married on September 26th and it was an awesome day.. They had a lovely fall themed wedding.

The rehearsal dinner was at BJ's and they food was fabulous.. James my fantastic hubby was cracking everyone up..He really should do stand up! (BJ's is our new favorite restaurant!)Here is Lauren and I at the dinner

The morning of her wedding we went to get our hair done and we had a blast.. All of the bridesmaids were so great..

We went to my favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch.. IT was YUMMY! I dont have a pic. but Laurens mother in law Ruth-a-nator spilt a drink all over herself.. IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!
