Good Hair Day and new Pillows!!

Today James and I went to Garden Ridge and bought new pillows for our couches.. I want to change the colors in the living room from blue and black to something new.. I had no clue what color I wanted to change to when I walked in the store..We ended up getting black and tan pillows with burgundy accent pillows.. They are cute and can go with many other colors. Now I need to go t Hobby Lobby and find more cute stuff for the living room.. to bad its closed on Sundays!!!

SO I NEVER have good hair days.. Today with an exception.. At the beginning of the day I had half my hair up with curls and it was cute...Tonight put all of it up and its still cute.. Here is a quick picture..

Wedding Plannig update!

So after changing our colors MANY times I think I have finally settled on two colors:
Black and Pink.. I am not sure what shade of pink I am more leaning twords hot pink or a fushia.

I am going to have my girls wear black dresses and pink heels with their pink flowers. I am excited and anxious because we have not found their dresses or pink shoes. I know we will find them but I am still anxious!

In other news.... We might not be able to use CR cakes. When we went to taste the cakes I asked him if he had worked at Ashton Gardens before and he told me yes, so I didn't expect it to be a problem. I e-mailed the lady there to ask them if we can use him and they said they did not have him on file. For us to be able to use him he has to have insurance. I called him on Friday and he said he is getting it this week, so we will see. We maybe finding a new cake person. WE are going today to Cakes by Gina..I have heard GREAT things about them but they are more expensive! We'll see :)

Also- I found a really cool way to send out save the date cards..Not going to spoil that one.. Your going to have to WAIT!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!


Best new... James and I found a bed spread we both like!!! I already registered for it... Bed Bath and Beyond.. Its the only thing on the registry.. hahaha :)

I just want to tell Catherine a BIG THANK YOU for everything you have done for me! You have helped me so much! I have really enjoyed the extra time we have been able to spend with each other in the past few weeks! I greatly APPRECIATE it!! You are a great friend.

Today James and I went to CR cakes... ( Catherine recomended to me...and let me tell you the cakes were AWSESOME!! I really do not like cake but CR cakes is VERY good!!! CR cakes is really affordable and he is willing to do anything we want. I am going to use him but I could not pick out a cake there that I really loved. Chef Robert told me to find a picture on line of a cake I really like and send it to him and he willmake it. He is really a nice guy!!!

Photo shoot and RUDE ladies!!!

Today I had a blast with my mom , Catherine, Colton and Lauren. We took the trip down the Ashton Gardens where we are going to have our wedding. It was a SUPER fun day! The lady who works there was NOT so nice...but.. we had a blast..

Also, I found out how much my perfect linens are going to cost! I am sad... I am going to have to find a new color for the wedding or ...well I dont know what I am going to do yet!!!!

I need a break for now.. I am going to go clean.how fun!!! :)

Invitations and Picture Inspiration!

Today in the mail I received some sample wedding invitations.

I was going to take pictures with my new camera of the invitations, but I'm not to inspired because I really don't know how to use it yet. I hopped on to Mck Momma's blog and I read her photography lessons....about an hour later I know a lot more about my camera and I'm pretty sure I can take a decent picture now.

As you can tell I really want to use our engagement pictures as the background of the invitations, but its not a must have.

The invitation on the left is a 3 fold and on the front is the picture..when you open it it has all the info..

This is the one I really like. Of course it will be our picture in the background...and the bow will look cute... do you think its not formal enough? I like it... but I'm going to keep looking.

In other news.. I am going to try out my new photo knowledge tomorrow.. Will see how it goes!!!

Wedding planning!

Thanks to Catherine and my other wonderful bridesmaids I have gotten A LOT of wedding planning done! Here is what I h ave accomplished:
- Set a date
- Found a place to have the wedding and reception.... Ashton Gardens!!
-Bought my dress
-Booked a photographer
- Found a table setting I love. I am going next weekend to talk to them.
- Found a place to order flowers from. I am going today with Catherine I talk to the lady!!! (**We went today.. it was awesome..but expensive... Thanks Catherine!!!**)
-Found the color blue that I have been looking for.
- With in the next week or so we are going to go find brides maid dresses right girls?
- Found a cake place I love! I need to call them to set up an appointment!
- Found a DJ. Going to book them this week!
- Catherine reminded me about making a program for the wedding. So I'm on that now!
- Found a pretty dress for my mom. I am not sure she loves it, but I do!
- Decided I want a candy bar (a bar of candy I should say), and an Ice sculpture.
- LOST MY PASSPORT! Calling the post office and I'm going to have to take off work to go get another one!!!
- Decided on a place for the honey moon.
-Found invitations I like...just waiting for the samples in the mail!
-Decided we are going to be taking engagement pictures in late April. I AM SO EXCITED!!!
-Found save the date cards I love!!
- Done a lot of this at *cough * well Catherine and Jessica know where!

I am feeling really good about all of this. I have done a lot in the few weeks I have been engaged! Maybe I should be a wedding planner?
